Visakhapatnam: Plots for middle income group people by VMRDAVISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) has planned to complete two middle income group (MIG) layouts in the next three months.

Around 363 acres of land parcels in three villages were already identified and the government had also issued two separate GOs for the two layouts that would accommodate around 5000 buyers. These layouts were planned by VMRDA after five years of its last venture Fortune Hills layout at Dakamarri.

These two layouts would come in three villages including 93 acres layout in Palavalasa and 260 acres layout at GS Agraharam-Ramavaram villages. These land parcels are assigned lands and the assignees would be given 900 square yards for each acre after developing the area.

The local Revenue Division Officers (RDOs) are competent authorities of land acquisition and willingness letters are now taken by the authorities.

The price of the plots was fixed after taking the land acquisition cost and also development cost into consideration. A low-cost price would be fixed for the middle income group. Around 50,000 applications were received by the VMRDA.

The VMRDA commissioner K Venkata Ramana Reddy said that they would provide land to 5000 buyers of MiG in the next three months. “ We are planning to go for a few more layouts for the Middle Income Group at Anakapalli and Sabbavaram once we complete the first phase. Land parcels are being identified by revenue authorities. A total of 15,000 buyers would get MIG plots If we complete these two layouts,” he said.

All the infrastructure would be created in the layouts and an income between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 18 lakh of a family would be eligible for one plot only. Three different size plots would be developed. The VMRDA Commissioner Ramana Reddy said that they would provide plots to all 50,000 applications received by his institution by identifying the land parcels close to the roads and completing them.
